Real Life with Intergrity Within Ourselves.

Every day we are presented with opportunities to live as if it’s business as usual or to create something exceptional, something beyond who we’ve been, what we’ve imagined, and what we know. Each day is a new occasion to express ourselves, to challenge existing options, to set aside current standards, to question firmly held assumptions, to break or even reinvent the mould.

It’s with that choice that we begin to get at that spirit so unique, so fundamentally who we are that when fully expressed it yields a sheer and spontaneous joy in just being alive—a shift that makes available to us the full possibility of being human.

“The most visible creators are those artists whose medium is life itself. The ones who express the inexpressible—without brush, hammer, clay, or guitar. They neither paint nor sculpt. Their medium is simply being. Whatever their presence touches has increased life. They see, but don’t
have to draw…because they are the artists of being alive…”

The stuff of wars, soap operas, divorce courts, Hamlet, and more all borrow on that equation, as do we. While we might wish we’d left that even-numberedness to our childhood and adolescence, it’s not to be. The dynamic of dealing with issues that are unwanted, yet persist continues to play out in board rooms, neighbourhoods, marriages, and between nations—we justify, we blame, we complain.

Issues that are unwanted, yet persist can be a powerful impetus for change, as evidenced by the progress of human rights, for example. But there’s another world of things that are unwanted, yet persist—things that we complain about over and over, like some aspect of our relationships or jobs that is not working, and yet we find ourselves keeping around.

If we put what’s “unwanted, yet persists” together with “fixed ways of being,” we get what we call a “racket.” It’s a “mash-up” of sorts (a web buzzword). In a mash-up, one web application is combined with another, making both applications more productive and robust—you get something greater than the sum of the parts. If you mash up what’s unwanted, yet persists (which is most likely occurring as a complaint) and a fixed way of being, you also get something greater than the sum of its parts, but in this case, the yield heads in the wrong direction—the combination is  non productive or more accurately, counterproductive.

A complaint is some kind of opinion or judgment of the way things “should” or “shouldn’t be.” The evaluative component isn’t a commentary on facts that are true or false, accurate or not, but again how we think things should be. By fixed way of being we mean acting in a predictable and repetitive manner (like always frustrated, always upset, always angry, always nice, always annoyed, always suspicious, always confused, etc.). Whatever our fixed way of being is, it’s not something we have a choice over.

It’s just there—it shows up automatically when the complaint shows up. It’s also worth noting that a recurring complaint doesn’t cause the way of being, nor does the way of being cause the recurring complaint—they simply come together in one package. The whole point here, though, is that it’s a fixed way of being, not a possible way of being.

Although, under closer scrutiny, it turns out we too have complaints—complaints about their complaints. Our matching complaint might show up like, “don’t they understand, don’t they know how it is for me, why are they nagging, don’t they see everything I’m doing for them?” When we complain, we feel quite justified that our response is appropriate to the situation.

We explain the rationale behind our complaints to interested (and uninterested) parties, and point out how pleased we are with ourselves for taking the necessary steps to sort things out—we have a certain fondness for our attempts, for “trying.” We might get our friends, family, or co-workers to agree that we’re dealing with our complaints the best we can. If they point out that perhaps we’re the one perpetuating the problem, we could feel misunderstood, put out, even busted.

Seen from a distance, there can be something almost endearing about how we go about all this—as if it’s part of our authentic and sincere spirit—but actually, our rationale for doing what we do is another thing entirely. This is the camouflage or cover-up part. The deceptive nature of a racket and the allure of the payoff keep us from realizing the full impact rackets have in our lives.

The payoffs for keeping rackets around usually show up in several ways: being right and making others wrong (not the factual kind of right, but thinking that we are right and the other person is wrong), being dominating or avoiding domination, justifying ourselves and invalidating others (attributing cause to some thing or person other than ourselves), engaging in the win/lose dynamic (not “winning” like a celebration with trophies, applause, or congratulations to the opponent, but winning such that someone else is the loser or is lessened in some way).

These payoffs are like facets of a diamond—although one facet might be more dominant than another (and we might deny or not be aware that some aspect of a payoff is active in our case), they’re really all at play.

The pull of these payoffs is often compelling enough to get us to give up love, vitality, self-expression, health, and happiness. That’s a ridiculously strong force. Those costs are the standard fare of a racket.  It’s pretty obvious that we can’t be happy, vital, and loving while we’re making someone wrong, dominating someone, being right, or justifying ourselves—one displaces the other. This is where choice comes into the picture.

Rackets, although one thing, have two forms of existence (somewhat like ice and steam are two forms of H2O). One form of a racket shows up as “I am X, Y, or Z.” The second shows up as “ahhh, I have a racket that is X, Y, or Z.” When we are the racket, it shapes and determines our way of being. But when we have a racket, it has very little power over our way of being. We have a choice about what’s at play—about giving up our rackets, our positions, our unproductive ways of being.

When we elect to transform our default ways of being—being right, coming out on top (the even-numb redness, so to speak)—we move to a place of freedom, a place of possibility. The question then becomes: How do I express my life? What would be, for me, the most extraordinary, created, invented life?  It becomes a matter of art, of design.

How extraordinary are the everyday aspects of our lives; how rich our lives are,  how full of opportunity, when we act on the possibility of living life fully.

When we compromise, even in the tiniest of matters, it’s easier for those compromises to become more and more commonplace. Over time, bit by bit, this erodes our sense of self. It’s like stirring one drop of red paint into a can of white. The paint may turn only the palest shade of pink, and while that might seem barely noticeable—no matter what we say about it—the paint is no longer what it was.

Similarly, when the wholeness and completeness of who we are is jeopardized in  home way, albeit imperceptible at first, our sense of ourselves gets obscured, making it harder to return to who we are. When that begins, there’s really no starting point to become ourselves—it’s all flailing around.

The possibility of fully being ourselves occurs in proportion to our being authentic. Living with a pretence, or being afraid that some aspect of ourselves might be found out, precludes any real freedom. Being authentic requires courage.

There is no template to follow, no zeitgeist to read, no known path to success. It’s a matter of courage—a matter of creating possibility. It gets made up as we go along, and it is this shift that makes available to us the full possibility of being human.

Communication, conversation, language are predominately thought of, anchored in our minds, as an expressing, a speaking, a vocalizing. That outward expression goes far beyond talking, far beyond describing or representing reality—it is in fact what allows for “who” and “how” we are in the world.

It’s what allows for the futures we create, where we evoke experience in others, where our ideas become clear and possible, where we share ourselves, and where others are expanded by our participation with them. But speaking is not where things get handled—it’s not powerful enough. The possibility that there’s an edge, the possibility of impact, lies in our listening.

Listening, we often think of as more passive—important, but somehow lesser or secondary. But listening is the clearing in which speaking can occur—without it, there isn’t any speaking. Listening is an action.

It’s way more active than it is passive—it creates speaking. Listening doesn’t receive speaking, it isn’t a receptacle for speaking—it gives speaking. Listening is the possibility for meaning, for understanding. The possibility for being loved lives in one’s listening; the possibility for learning lives in one’s listening. Listening is what allows others to be—it’s where both the speaker and what is spoken come alive, exist, and flourish.

The writing..not the spelling

Good Morning people!
I am in a writing mood again.. been awhile... where do I begin?! I could write about the weather or the political, or even about the food places which have been a big let down... I am thinking of writing it all down in my books again.. and then trans to computer... then adjust with spell checker etc... later.. I find writing in hand more feeling that onto the computer, directly.. As my feelings with spelling mistakes and all...more open than that of a computer... As you get the flow of writing and it doesn't stop for correction or highlights mistakes which take away from your thought process.. Writing in a book on the pages.. with doodling's and scribbling's seems to open up a world where your really expressing your words and feelings.. what ever they may be...People are so judgmental when you write.. Pick out the mistakes. .but not taking in the writing itself or the story your describing.. the creative part of the expressions.. they love to place the negatives, rather than seeing what the person's writing about.. interesting... me, I read the words and get to the heart of it.. not the mistakes and the spelling.. for that is only the cosmetics of writing.. The story is important... Then again... some people are not creative and can only see the mistakes and not the story behind those mistakes.. That in itself is interesting as the writer can see that they cannot read the story... only the mistakes which those people pick up....
I sometimes read, many books have untold mistakes in them and they are best sellers, yet it is the story which gets to me... when the story is good ,, then the rest is not so important..cave men had no spelling.. but their stories lasted more than centauries..

I found that who I am is unimportant. What I do is more important. Inspire creative passions which you were born to achieve and be, is!

Questions of Intelligence.

When hiring, promoting, even just putting together your team, you should look for the smartest people in the room, right? Not so fast.

Intelligence is one of those characteristics where there is a minimum level needed to be in the game. Once past that, too much intelligence can be a drawback or worse. Interesting situation is it not?

Certainly, the job for which you’re hiring makes a difference. I do want big-time intelligence for researchers, analysts, and coders, but you can lock those folks in a room and let them do their thing because they work on their own. If they lack emotional intelligence or interpersonal skills, any damage they do is limited because of their independent work.

The problem with really smart people is that they often think they know more than everyone else. Maybe they do. But that doesn’t help them when they’re trying to get others to buy into whatever they’re selling

The irony is that sometimes the most talented person can make for one of the most ineffective managers. You can see this in sports, for example, where retired superstars often find it difficult to coach or manage successfully because they are now supervising lesser mortals that weren’t blessed with the same degree of innate talent.

It’s not just brainpower where more may also not be better. For example, is it good to keep reducing the time it takes for technicians to help customers requesting assistance via call-in centres? What about the quality of the advice, how the customer perceives the value of the advice or even whether it’s such a great idea in the first place to try to optimise on speed?

Zappos, the US-based online shoe store, actually rewards employees for spending more time with customers who call in with questions about products they are thinking of buying. For Zappos, customer experience on a call trumps any simple metric that, in its view, can actually detract from profitability.

When employees are motivated to cycle through customers as fast as possible, platitudes that the customer comes first are just that — empty, cynical slogans that mean nothing to sales staff.

The quest for more may well be the defining ethos of our time, but the downside that comes with this single-minded fixation warrants greater attention. Relying on the smartest and the most talented to lead and manage people and teams may be one of those things that sounds a lot better in theory than in practice.

It is interesting that these things happen in business.. especially big cooperation's ledgers and regulations.  Where is that personal touch.. The real 'Assistance'. That personal Touch which is incorporated in old fashioned sales and services. Is It lost??? in this centaury????

Esteem and Empowerment

"You are far more powerful than you may have been led to believe, it’s time for you to remember your greatness as a powerful eternal being, a creator, a direct reflection of all that is and ever has been. Stand in your power confidently."

Here are some ways you can claim your power and not be pulled into our spiritually sick society that is often times harvesting our precious energy that fuels their reality, robbing you from creating your own.
Some thoughts to ponder and reflect upon...

*Earth is a school for the soul’s evolution and expansion.

*You are a powerful creator, your imagination and thoughts create your experience.

*Words are energy in action and cause a reaction, choose your words wisely.

*Your mental focus is highly valuable asset to celebrities, advertising companies, and  governmental agencies. Energy flows where your attention goes. If your focus is on a celebrity and by comparing yourself to them and their lifestyle, you are fueling their reality instead of fueling yours.

*Loving yourself is a rebellious act in a society that profits on your insecurities and fears.

*Learning to love yourself unconditionally is the foundation for all relationships that come into your life. They will only be healthy and balanced if you love yourself deeply, you can then love freely.

*Your emotions are a divine gift here to guide you, not enslave you.

* Failure is a part of success.

*Awareness changes everything.

* You are not your body; it is a divine gift a vehicle for you to experience physicality.

*Spirituality is = Spirit experiencing physicality.

* Be kind and gentle with yourself, you do not need to be perfect. Your imperfections offer reflections, without this contrast there is no experience, expansion or exploration.

* Sex is sacred and meant to align two souls who are equally connected mentally, spiritually and physically. Having sex with no love only body can be emotionally and energetically damaging.

* We must fully feel all emotions and not suppress them, they will continue to resurface until you ingrate the lesson they are showing.

* Gratitude is the foundation for abundance in all areas of life. Focus on what you do have and not on lack, as the will only attract what your mental focus is on.

* VERY IMPORTANT what others say to you in a hurtful way is simply them projecting their pain upon you, don’t allow their words or intentions to drive you into self-doubt or fear.

* Take a spiritual perspective in all situations. (a birds eye view looking down on a situation)

* Meditation and taking time to align yourself and pull your energies back into alignment is essential for you to be able to live a life of making conscious decisions. If we don’t take time we can be pulled way out of alignment and blindly follow others intentions.

* You chose this life and you were chosen, you will have ups and downs. Life is meant to be felt. Don’t give up you are truly strong enough to handle this.

* Question everything you have been told and sold, seek your own truth.

* Call upon your angels and guides; they will walk by your side. Free will requires you to ask for their help. They can and will intervene on an untimely death.

* Everything and everyone is your teacher.

* We are all in this together, nobody is better than another. All are equal and having a unique experience. The beggar on the street, the dancer on the pole and the king in the castle all is equal in the presence of creation.

* Everything is energy, protect your energy. If you’re open and unaware you will blindly follow the magnetic pull of society’s distractions.

* Transformation is your birthright.

* Practice non attachment to material items or negative/abusive relationships

* Ground yourself in nature

* Let things go, don’t hold onto anything that holds you back and no longer serves your highest intentions.

* Forgive yourself and others, we are all doing the best we can with our state of being. Holding onto anger and judgment will only keep you anchored into the lower vibration.

* Always keep your heart and mind open to greater possibilities.
* When gratitude is given your vibration is lifted.

*Trust your intuition, its your soul leading the way.

* The future has not happened yet and the past is behind you. The only thing that is real is now. Stay in the present moment as this is the place you create within and experience within.

* Be aware that the music you listen to, you match the vibrational and subconsciously absorb the lyrics and accept as your reality. Remember, everything is energy. Music can lift you and it can lower you.

power of observation

The Power of Observation

Feel love, happiness and joy that are surrounding you.  Take moments during your daily routine to stop and notice what is going on, see and feel the warm beautiful sunshine, or experience the quiet of a gray, rainy day outside your window. Let the smile of a small child touch your heart. Mentally send a blessing of love and balance abundance to everyone you meet during your day.

This is an especially important step to do because whatever energy you give out to the world will be returned to you.

You must be an active and willing participant in this dance and song of life.

You must become involved by reaching out so you can reap the abundance of the Universe is offering you now.

In order to harvest the fruit of your blessings, be ready to move outside your comfort zone. You cannot expect to fulfil your dreams by sitting around watching television.

“I am capable or realizing my dreams”

Acknowledge your worth and love yourself…. This is where it all begins.., where it ends.

This is very important for you to remember. “You do have the Power to succeed”

Know that the thoughts that empower you to succeed come from your true self and Higher Power.

Love yourself and embrace the incredible blessings you have been given.

Now, more than ever, know that it is not only possible to change your way thinking but also your actions.

This steady change will allow your dreams to blossom and be realized.

“The Universe is change: our life is what our thoughts make it” Marcus Aurelius.

Concentrate on:

Focusing on you: on your best achievements, both big and small, and your ability to succeed.

Quieting your mind: for 15 min each day in order to feel the energy flow within you. This will help get your thoughts moving in the right direction so that you can begin realizing your dreams.

Choosing one goal and taking your first step achieving it.

Believe in yourself

Use this inner power to change your life.

Anytime you express your authentic self, you will discover avenues of achievements that you would never have dreamed of.

This is a very exciting time for you, since your unlocking your potential. Most important: to believe in yourself. Then next important this is to embrace perseverance - do not give up for any reason until you are living the life you want.

Trust your intuition, it will not steer you wrong.

If deep down your unconscious is telling you “There has to be more to my life” rest assured that there is more, and that it is time that you went after it.

We live in a world of many different distractions and opportunities, but we sometimes get lost in the world in which we live and over-look some of the wonders that are right around us. I love to explore and find new things to do and visit, and once this is done I make plans to investigate the place in question or put it off for a later date. Life has so many interesting things to see and do, which make life for me interesting. Some people refuse to glance around the corner to see what is there, because they are afraid they might not like what they see.

Why let the trepidation, fear and apprehension of the unknown stop you from exploring, glancing and with your eyes, so your mind can take in new and wonderful things. I love to walk first thing in the morning when the new day is upon us and everything is fresh and new and survey the area in which I live.

I live to explore and what I see sooner or later gets relocate and resettled into and poem or article, and it could be just a quick view of a wild animal or a person talking to someone on the street, I never know what is a waiting me and that's what make life interesting for me.  I have been told that I have total recall when it comes to describing what I have viewed or heard, and for the most part they are right.

It's because my mind is open to new ideas and I don't have selected seeing or hearing, like so many people do. I watch people and I find so many people walk with their heads down and don't even look around and I understand sometimes people need to get to a place in a hurry, but how much time does it take to view the areas you have just pasted?

I was downtown this morning having coffee with a friend and as I was listening to her, I started looking around at people, just to see what they were doing and I started to chuckle at what I was seeing, sometimes people are like ants and just go from A to B without taking the time observe what is in front of them.

You can see it on the faces of people the ones that look where they are going and the others that just go from point A to B, and I think to myself, "How much are they missing in life".

There is another tool that can help clear away the confusion of relationships discord and point the way towards better, stronger connections with each other.

Knowledge is power, and then how you know what you know has a huge impact on how much power you end up having.

Separate and connected knowing is both diagnostic and healing for couples, who have trouble achieving a natural balance of giving and receiving.

Cognitive - in head – “Separate” knowing.

Holistically integrated mind and emotions is “Connected” knowing.

Everyone employs both methods, but everyone tends to use one more than the other.

Knowing the introduction of both helps people becomes aware of their own barriers and limitations at the same time clarifies how to overcome them.

“Knowing” is closely related to “Receiving” which is why it’s relevant.

Saying you know something is really saying that you’ve received information of a certain kind and you have processed it in a certain way.

If you have a “broken receiver”, as you can put it, your ability to know is going to be more limited than it would if you had never experienced self-rejection, and the consequent inability to absorb information about your missing self. If your capacity for receiving love is impaired for all the reasons, and in all the ways, you will have a corresponding restrictor in your capacity to know.

There are certain things that you will not know, and the things you do know, you will only know in a separate or connected way.

I have the natural ability to read people, and it has helped me come to understand myself, because I take the time to view what is around me and not over-look the world in which I live in. I think it's important to spend time viewing the world you live in and not just walking by it, because one day what you see now, can help you in the future or heal your past.
