When you're Shining

When you’re Shining
By Sonia F Stevens©

When nothing is lasting forever
When the clouds of disappear
Come’s through your world
When you want to bang your head.

Don’t cry, give your time
Let you faith grow
Let you enter a new life
Give your heart control
Because you might lose your soul.

When your asking your soul why
You can do all and still lose control.
Nothing last forever,
You can close your eyes
You can live in a cloud.

Look around you
See the great things that are there
So what, if people stare
It is you that has to care.

Let your soul shine through it all.
Let the heart that is yours take control

Let you true feeling show
Let your dreams keep on the roll.
Forgive the others as they have not traveled your path.
Let them shine
But let your life be a glow.

Shine with your heart
Shine with your life,
Let the strife go
Let you live be a glow.

Be the shining light
Be true to your soul
It will be alright
Let your shine glow.

Walls

Walls

By Sonia F Stevens©

We each have created walls.

It is because we all have had our own falls.

Some walls are high.

Some walls even block out the sky.

Some walls are thin.

There are walls, which encumber a rim.

Walls are thick so nothing will break in.

There are invisible walls and walls with cores.

There are all types of walls

There are so many ways, so many falls.

We can defiantly make our own walls.

We learn from our walls

We all shut those doors on those walls.

Each person has pain

Each person has a dark blame

Each one of us is also to blame

Because of  all these walls,

We unwittingly make some desirous calls.

These walls were put up for protection

These walls are also our rejection.

But the walls are our own prison

Because, well all are forgetting our affection...

This is a major case for reflection

These walls have to be our own damnation.

We could never adjust for our own protection.

We all fear everyone’s rejection.

When these walls fall down

We each can turn around.

Come to terms with all matters of life

To heal and grow and live a true life.

For, we each have to live a life

To turn and learn

To experience, to dream

We each have the right to live out our own life.

We each have the right to speak, to listen, to question,

To answer, to learn, to teach and even to preach.

We are all learning, growing, and even showing.

Each, every single person has a right to live a life.

Each one of us has the right to give, to ask, to receive.

We are all worthy to live our own life.

The walls can be hard

This is because we learnt hard lessons

Do not want to remember what was on the agenda

While we were growing.

Each wall is different

Spend time to really care

Spend time to remember why those walls are there.

Then take the time to really care

These walls need your particular care

You have a chance to soften the walls

You have a chance to even break down those walls.

Show yourself that you can really care

Care for yourself.

Flower

The Flower

By Sonia Frances StevensÓ

All things, which were, are nowhere.
All that were dreams are reality

All reality is now dreams of loss

I find it interesting that Dreams are lost
And that you have paid the greatest cost.
I have lost a man who I could call a lover
Only to find out that he has so many others.

I tried to give him hope and love
Discovered the man that was in the body of a friend
I wanted to make his life safe and free
Only to discover that he had to choose
I was the one who would lose.

I saw the man inside and I felt his warm pride
With everything I was the one who cried.
I give him freedom now.
He has his life and he has his ways
For with him he must find how to pay.

I loved a man who was a musician
He saw nothing in me
And that is where it was to be.
The man is now a toy
For others to live their ways.
Because of the games he plays.

I am giving him freedom
He has to choose if that is what he wants.
I paid the cost.
Now it is his time to believe or not.

I wanted his kisses and heart
But to all this he has to want.
He has to live his life.
I cannot live his life.
I can only share his life
If he asked.

My love for him is great
All my friends said he is not worth
All his friends warned me of his ways.
But I saw him as who he is.
I loved him for who he is.

He gave me flower.
A very small flower, It meant so much coming from him.
It meant so much even with his cheeky grin.
At that moment I could not be any more in love with him.
Although I was, because he gave me that flower.
He gave me the power.
